Baby Alpaca Scarf - Pounamu

Price

$199.00

Baby alpaca refers to the finest grade of alpaca fibre, 22 microns or under, graded by fineness rather than the age of the animal. It is softer than merino, warmer than wool of equivalent weight, and contains no lanolin, making it naturally hypoallergenic.

It wears lightly across the shoulders or wraps close around the neck. Styled here in a deep forest green with natural variation through the weave, a colour that works across every season.

Care Instructions

As with all natural fibres, some pilling may occur in areas of friction over time. This is a normal characteristic of the fibre, not a fault. A fabric comb or lint shaver will restore the surface easily.

To preserve the quality of your garment:

  • Hand wash in cold water with a gentle wool wash
  • Do not wring or tumble dry
  • Lay flat to dry, reshape while damp

Treat it well, and it’ll return the favour.
